**Please note the date has changed for this workshop from 2/27/10 to 4/10/10**This workshop will show you the ideas of Cezanne from his early experiments with the palette knife as influenced by Courbet to his later work using oils like watercolors. The demonstrations will include various media as Cezanne used them; drawing, watercolor and oil as well as an adaptation of his ideas in acrylics. Learn the complex and influential ideas of Paul Cezanne as they brought representational painting to the beginnings of abstraction. Learn how a great artist borrows from art history and personal observation to make a new direction for painting.
