summer art camp
One Week Sessions – Monday through Friday $275

Students may enroll in one or more week sessions:

Studio Art Camp is a place where young artists engage with imagination, real-life associations, reflection and visual transformation through making sense of material. In stretching, smudging and squeezing, participates will develop knowledge of a variety of artistic techniques. Weekly exploration may include mixed-media clay, sculpture and the re-exploration of two-dimensional surfaces. Students may engage in wire, wood, canvas, paint, charcoal, oil pastel, foam core, watercolor and more. The teacher to student ratio is approximately 1 to 4 allowing for the development of individualized artistic expression and effective dialogue. There will be some introduction to art history. Students should bring their own snack and drink from home. Please do not bring snacks that contain peanuts. The School provides all materials.
Youth Art Camp (Ages: 8-12)

Children will stretch imaginations while strengthening drawing and painting skills. Discover the fundamentals of drawing and painting and their relationship to each other with emphasis on individual perception and exploration. Learn traditional techniques such as proportions through the use of a variety of media, which may include pencil, pastels, charcoal, ink, watercolor, acrylic and tempera. Young artists will discover new concepts and master basic skills while gaining confidence, pride, and self-discipline through their efforts. Students should bring their own snack and drink from home. Please do not bring snacks that contain peanuts. The School provides all materials.
Teen Art Camp
Oil Painting Workshop (Ages: 13 to 17)

Students may enroll in one or more week sessions:
July 7 through July 10
July 21 through July24
August 4 through 7
A complete overview of oil painting for teens to learn about the beautiful and unique features of painting with oils. We will learn about setting up a palette, color mixing, mediums, care of material and safety. Students will be guided through the process of creating a landscape painting. Composition and perspective will be taught as w work both in the studio and plain-air. Students should bring their own lunch. Please do not bring snacks that contain peanuts. The School provides all materials.
Printmaking Workshop (Ages: 13 to 17)

Students may enroll in one or more week sessions:
July 14 through July 18
July 28 through August 1
Students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of printmaking techniques. Monoprint, paper litho, collagraph and solar plate. We will work on paper, cloth and stone and individual guidance will be given as students explore the creative process of printmaking. Students should bring their own lunch. Please do not bring snacks that contain peanuts. The School provides all materials.
Portrait/Figure Drawing & Painting (Ages:13 to 17)

One Week Sessions – Monday through Thursday $330
9am to 1pm
Students may enroll in one or more week sessions:
June 30 through July 3
August 11 through 14
This indoor workshop will work with a clothed model exploring both the face and the full figure. Students may work with a variety of drawing and painting mediums to learn the traditional techniques such as proportion, shading and composition. Emphasis will be on developing painting and drawing skills while gaining self-confidence. Students should bring their lunch. Please do not bring snacks that contain peanuts. All materials are provided by the School.
