BENEFIT FOR KEVIN THOMAS The Fundraising Event held on Saturday, November 10th to Benefit Kevin Thomas was a huge success. Between the Live and Silent Auctions, and donations received, we raised over $50,000, and funds are still coming in. The funds raised will go to helping Kevin and his family during what will be a lengthy recovery period. Kevin has taught ceramics at SGAC since 1997, became a guild artist in 2000 and is a past president of Loft Artists Association. Kevin is a beloved member of the Connecticut artist community and is known not only as a gifted artist, but one who generously shares his knowledge and provides encouragement to all his students. And Kevin was truly celebrated at the evenings' event. The event was sponsored by Clay Art Works, Katonah Art Center, Lakeside Pottery, Loft Artist Association and Silvermine Guild Arts Center. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Contributions can be made to SGAC-Kevin Thomas Fund at Silvermine Guild Arts Center. |
