Music is a longstanding Silvermine tradition and we are about to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Summer Music Series. Each summer, the auditorium provides an intimate venue to hear acclaimed soloists and ensembles, performing an eclectic array of music from classical guitar to world music. At intermission, audiences are invited into the galleries to see the current exhibition and enjoy refreshments in the sculpture garden. Dave Brubeck, our honorary chairman, says "I am proud of the Silvermine Guild, and the audience they have cultivated over the years, that makes it possible for great music such as this to continue to be presented in an intimate setting."

Previous performers at the Summer Music Series have included Alasdair Fraser, Turtle Island String Quartet, Benny Goodman, Eliot Fisk, Andrew Armstrong, Tin Hat Trio, Alex DeGrassi, Darol Anger, Frederic Chiu, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, Bonnie Rideout, Matt Haimovitz, and many more. We anticipate that this years' performers will be equally exciting and entertaining.
