Natasha Karpinskaia

Natasha Karpinskaia received her M.A. in philological studies from the Moscow University of Linguistics, M.A. in art history from the Academy of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Russia, and completing her Ph. D. in art history at Columbia University, NYC.

Natasha Karpinskaia is an abstract artist working in various media: from oils and acrylic to encaustics and printmaking. Her art came as a logical extension of her studies as an art historian; from analyzing works of art came a desire to physically participate in the process of creating.

She is currently working as an adjunct professor at the New York Academy of Art, a graduate school of figurative art.
