Carey Parks-Schwartz

ARTIST BIO 
Carey Parks Schwartz is an award-winning painter who has exhibited her work throughout the U.S., and in numerous private and corporate collections.  Carey has been profiled in magazine and newspaper articles.  She received an M.A. (M.F.A. program) in Painting from San Jose State University, and dual B.A. degrees in Studio Art and Zoology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.  Growing up in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Carey was influenced by urban and coastal themes in her paintings and continued these themes during a post-graduate move to Paris.  Carey lives today in the New York City area, working in her studio and teaching adult courses in painting, drawing and mixed media at Silvermine School of Art  and  at Norwalk Community College.
