A portrait drawing of my father, John Prentice, appeared in Rip Kirby the first Modern Detective, Volume 7, IDW Publishing. I was also interviewed about my father’s life and work by Brian Walker for this volume. My father drew and sometimes wrote the syndicated comic strip Rip Kirby after the strip’s creator, Alex Raymond, died in 1956. My father drew this strip until his death in 1999.
