Eleanor de Ropp Flatow is the Director of Sales at Hollis Taggart in New York City, a distinguished art gallery dedicated to presenting museum-quality works from both the primary and secondary markets. Additionally, she is a partner in Hollis Taggart Downtown, a new contemporary gallery opening in May on the Lower East Side, expanding the gallery’s presence and commitment to emerging and mid-career artists.
Prior to joining Hollis Taggart in 2019, Eleanor worked as an independent curator and art advisor, organizing and judging contemporary exhibitions throughout Fairfield County and New York City. She previously served as Co-Executive Director of the Carriage Barn Arts Center, a nonprofit arts organization in New Canaan, CT, where she played a key role in advancing its mission and programming.
Early in her career, Eleanor was a Specialist in Early American Furniture and Decorative Arts at Christie’s New York, sharpening her expertise in fine and decorative arts. Her diverse professional background spans the for-profit and nonprofit art sectors, as well as financial services, equipping her with a unique perspective as an entrepreneur in the arts.
Eleanor holds an MBA with a concentration in entrepreneurship from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College and a BA in Art History from Boston College. With a proven track record of managing complex projects, engaging diverse stakeholders, and exceeding financial and organizational objectives, she remains dedicated to fostering artistic excellence and driving success in the art world.
