Bess French is an accomplished artist and art educator based in Vermont. Her current work centers on three-dimensional sculptures inspired by the natural world and the environments we inhabit. Working in miniature, she creates N-scale (1:160) environments built on hand-mixed concrete forms and layered with found objects. Drawing from vintage train modeling techniques, her work explores themes of home, memory, and our fragile, changing environment.

Her sculptures have been featured in solo exhibitions throughout New England and are included in both public and private collections internationally.
