Silvermine’s Holiday Salon and extended gift shop welcomes visitors through Dec. 23 with special holiday hours.
NEW CANAAN, CT, November 25, 2025—Silvermine Arts Center welcomes the community to its annual Holiday Salon and extended gift shop, now open for the season. The annual event offers affordable art from Silvermine’s distinguished Guild members, alongside fine crafts created by artisans working in textiles, jewelry, ceramics, wood, glass, and paper. Visitors are invited to explore Silvermine’s galleries, which are open through December 23 during special holiday hours—Mon. through Sat., 10 a.m.– 4 p.m.
This year, Silvermine’s gallery walls and shelves are brimming with unique and original pieces. Many are smaller scale—ideal for a table or desktop, a kitchen wall, a reading nook. Landscapes and still-life paintings in oil or watercolor abound, along with small-scale sculptures from the whimsical to the abstract, with many new and stunning glass, wood, and ceramic pieces. Gorgeous alpaca knit hats, and natural-print silk scarves are featured in the gift shop, along with prints, photographs, and marbled-paper cards and notebooks. Colorful candles in sculpted, modern forms are a lovely take on a holiday staple. A perennial favorite—Silvermine’s handmade artist cards—returns with geometric, collage, and botanical designs.
A seasonal highlight, the Holiday Salon is a not-to-be missed event. There is no more inspiring or stress-free way to browse for beautiful and unique holiday gifts. In addition, almost all of the paintings and works on paper are framed by the artists and ready to hang—and art can be taken home on the day of purchase. The Holiday Salon and extended gift shop are open through December 23.
