Marta Violette Kot has been a Silvermine School of Art faculty member for over 20 years. Her teaching experience include studio courses, panels, lectures and workshops at Marymount Manhattan College, Teachers College Columbia University, Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, the Harlem School of the Arts, Malta’s National Museum of Fine Arts, the Aldrich Museum, New Britain Museum of American Art, LaGuargdia High School of Music and Art in NYC, more. She is a graduate of Teachers College Columbia University (EdM w/NYS Teaching Certification and EDD Certified) and New York University (Masters in Studio Art). She studied at the Sorbonne, the Royal University of Malta-Fulbright Exchange, was a guest in the NYU Graduate Venice Program, and at the Jagiellonian University in a culture and language exchange. Some one person exhibitions include the National Museum of Fine Arts in Valletta, Malta, 80 Washington Square East Gallery in NYC, and the Macy Art Gallery at Columbia University. She was an invited guest artist resident at Gozo Contemporary in Malta and studied privately in the studios of Zbylut Grzywacz (1939-2004) in Cracow, Poland, and Antoine Camilleri (1922-2005) in Valletta, Malta.
