Robert Perucci is a sculptor, metal fabricator, and educator with over two decades of professional experience specializing in bronze casting, metal sculpture, and large-scale fabrication. He earned his BFA from the State University of New York at New Paltz, where he developed a strong foundation in metalsmithing and material-based exploration.
In 2000, Robert began working at Argos Art Casting Foundry, where he trained extensively in all phases of the lost-wax bronze casting process—from ceramic shell preparation and metal pouring to finishing and fabrication. Over nine years at Argos, he advanced to the role of Head Finisher and Fabricator, collaborating with numerous acclaimed artists and contributing to major public artworks and memorials throughout the Northeast.
His professional experience includes participation in a wide range of large-scale public projects, including civic monuments, institutional commissions, and memorials across New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. This work required close collaboration with artists, architects, engineers, and municipalities, as well as deep technical knowledge of structural fabrication, finishing, and installation.
Robert began teaching metal sculpture and bronze casting in 2009. During his tenure at Silvermine Arts Center, he played a central role in reviving the institution’s long-dormant bronze foundry and went on to found and lead its Art Casting Department. His teaching emphasizes technical rigor, material understanding, shop safety, and the translation of artistic ideas into structurally sound metal work.
