In January we were visited by News 12 photojournalist Lori Golias who crafted a film about Silvermine Arts Center as a featured destination in the popular News 12 series – “Road Trip Close to Home.“

Our Education Manager, Kelly O’Sullivan, members of our staff and a few of our instructors were on hand in the classrooms and galleries to create a film about the vibrancy of this 1oo year old Arts Center and its many opportunities for the public to partake in. From classes and workshops in a wide array of mediums for the utter beginner to the advanced student, to our captivating exhibitions in our 5 galleries, there is something for everyone to enjoy here.

Silvermine Arts Center is one of the oldest artist communities in the United States. Its five-acre campus in New Canaan, Connecticut, consists of a nationally renowned artist guild, an award-winning school of art offering classes for all ages, an arts and fine crafts shop, a permanent print collection, and a gallery offering over 20 contemporary and historic exhibitions annually.
