Come Celebrate Silvermine’s 100th Anniversary!

A full day event with demonstrations by Silvermine’s distinguished instructors in both the morning and the afternoon of different media that are taught at the school, including ceramics /wheel throwing, woodworking, Ikebana, Sumi-e painting, abstract painting, and more. Hands-on projects for all ages will be offered in clay, watercolors, mural painting, printmaking and pastels.

The day of activities is broken out into a morning session from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and an afternoon session from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be an opening reception for the student show from 2:30-4:30pm. Visitors can buy lunch at the event or bring their own—all are welcome to stay the whole day.

Two new exhibits will be open during this event. In the galleries is the 72nd A•ONE, Silvermine’s signature exhibition featuring a wide range of collectible, contemporary artwork that is both vibrant and surprising.  In the School Student Gallery, award winners from this year’s online student show will be on display.

This event is free and is rain or shine.

A detailed schedule will be posted soon.
