Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, in collaboration with Silvermine Arts Center, will inaugurate its 2025 Season and the reopening of the Mansion after a two-year closure with a new contemporary art exhibition titled, Reimagined Reflection.LMMM Trustee Gail Ingis, who chairs the Contemporary Art Committee, said, “We have had a long and impactful collaboration with Silvermine’s Gallery Director Roger Mudre, and we look forward to working with him on this exciting exhibition.”
Curated by Mr. Mudre, this exhibition showcases the diverse language of abstraction and serves as a powerful metaphor for the Mansion’s renewal and transformation, reflecting broader themes of renaissance and new beginnings. Each artist, in their distinct voice, navigates the realms of color, form, and texture. This collaboration will highlight the vibrant artistic community connected to Silvermine and spotlight the Mansion’s first exhibition after a long hiatus.
This exhibition is at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, Mathews Park, 295 West Ave, Norwalk, CT
An artist reception will be held on June 12, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 p.m at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum.
