EXHIBITION
A Nation of Vision –In recognition of 250 years of American art and innovation, we invite artists to reflect on the evolving spirit of creativity that has shaped and continues to shape this country. This exhibition is not a survey of history, rather it is a conversation across time. Works may be abstract or representational and should demonstrate strong conceptual clarity, craftsmanship, and relevance to one of these thematic areas.
- Early Visions (1776–1900) – Landscape, portraiture, realism, folk art, history painting: traditional work inspired by early American life or place.
- Modern Shifts (1900–1980) – Modernism, abstraction, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Minimalism: experimental work shaped by 20th-century change.
- Current Perspectives (1980–2026) – Contemporary, conceptual, installation, new media, mixed media: work addressing American life today.
Eligibility – Open to all artists, 18 years of age and older. Original artwork in any media will be considered. Eligible artwork must have been completed after January 1, 2023, and fall within the restrictions. (view prospectus)
